Locally, the Chronicle had several articles about us. I liked this one about how Keenan Murphy rebuffed many P5 school offers---also some nice stuff indicating Herman might be around a while.

ESPN did a nice piece on how Herman utilized location to build relationship by inviting prospects to UH as much as possible. They have our class ranked #30.

Here is a great article from the Washington Post talking about how Hermans staff fought off the "poachers" and has another great quote that tells me Herman may be here for a long time. Just my interpetation, but I think, because of the reduced travel, he may see Houston as a place where he can be extremely successful and still have a somewhat normal family life.
Houston is probably the football-maddest of the largest five American cities, and therein lies a boon.
“The highest-ranked non-Power Five recruiting class in the history of college football,” Herman said, “and I got on a plane twice.”
Pause.
“Let me repeat that: I got on a plane twice. I slept in my own bed most every night.”
He told of his days as offensive coordinator at Ohio State, of rental cars and hotel beds. He told of his days as an offensive coordinator at Iowa State, where players might not see the campus until their January visits.
“These [Houston] kids, they’re on our campus every other day, and as juniors in the summertime,” Herman said. “They’re here, they’re around, they’re present, where other schools, they don’t have that luxury.”
Through December and January, Herman visited every recruit — easily.
