Or we know we have a problem. If we are actually 4-0 we know any problems we have are not major.

Our first two games are away. We open on the road against UTSA a team that went 6-7 last year. Lose to this team and comparisons to Levine will crop up all over this board. Win this game and our attention turns to Arizona. This team finished 3-9 winning only one game in the Pac 12. We need to win this game to really be confident of having a good season. Lose, and all confidence about the season starts to spring a leak. On paper we should beat this team even if it is a roadie.

Then we come home for two games. Up first is Rice who ended 3-9 and lost their first 6 games before beating a woeful Prairie View club. Lose this game and the wheels come off. Attendance will plummet like its 2014 all over again. Win, and we could be 3-0 and either ranked in the top 25 or about to be. Next up is Texas Tech, a team that should be in total disarray by the time we face them. This team is the no D poster child and will begin its season without its two best QBs. TT did beat TCU at the Horned Frogs place so they cannot be taken lightly. The Red Raiders face Eastern Washington and Arizona State before coming to TDECU. TT lost to the Sun Devils at their place last year so they could roll into our stadium sporting a 1-1 record at best. Regardless, their fans that live in Houston will show up to support their team. So, the stadium could be rocking....or not.

There it is....our first four games that will tell the tale. Those who are upset with the hiring of the staff will have actual results to continue to be upset if the results are less than satisfactory. But if we go 4-0 the results will tell a different story. We will be off and running. Very likely we will be ranked with a likelihood of a double digit winning season. Which way will it go? Thoughts?
