I have not seen this posted on here but may have missed it. Saw it posted elsewhere. Aresco is talking bigger bowls and better P5 opponents in the coming future. Aresco is also saying there may be some serious tv money from digital partners. (I presume this is a shot across the bow of ESPN)
The AAC could be looking at some 8-4 SEC/B1G opponents against our champion when we do not make the NY6 bowl. Our conference might have to take a lesser dollar than who we play but could be worth more the next time we talk bowl contracts.
On the tv contract side I have long said that the AAC could pull in 8-10 million per team due to the ratings we were pulling. That number does not seem so far fetched now as it once did. If ESPN does not pony up, the digitals or another network might be more willing to pay bigger bucks for our inventory.
