Our guy, D'Eriq King, comes in ranked #5. Athlon gives a whole bunch of data as to how they arrive at each ranking. While I understand it is mostly a lot of subjective mumbo jumbo there is no way that King is the #5 QB in the AAC. He will prove that this year in my most humble opinion.
Milton is returning from an undefeated season and I can see him in the #1 slot for sure. Perry, the Navy QB, comes in at #2. Really? He opened the season as a RB for heavens sake and he only had three starts at QB.
Jonathan Banks, Tulane QB, comes in at #3. Why? Because they think he is headed for a huge 2018 season. They Think! Really?
Well, I think King is going to have a higher QB rating than all of the above when all is said and done. He will have passed for more yards and won more games. That is what I think, Athlon. And we will all find out soon enough. Tick Tock, Tick Tock.
