The Big 12 has announced that it has extended the contract of Bob Bowlsby through June 2025. That just happens to be the time that the Big 12 GOR contract expires. What that is saying is that Bowlsby has a job for as long as there is a Big 12. After June 2025 there is uncertainty whether either with be around after that date. If there is no longer a Big 12 Bowlsby services will no longer be needed.
Does this mean the likelihood of OU/UT leaving a few years before 2025 has diminished?
Does this mean the remaining schools will seek conference elsewhere and the Big 12 will be no more?
Or will the remaining Big 12 schools try to backfill with the best of the AAC and BYU?
