While predicting logical outcomes for these kids is an exercise in futility, from a purely logical and risk mitigation standpoint UH should be his destination.
1) he will not be ready for Spring drills and will not be medically released to play until Summer (don't know if that is June or August);
2) other OSU QBs will get the reps in Spring and will become further ingrained in the position; may not start;
3) Miller may not actually be better than the other two, one of which finished 5th in the Heisman and the other beat the two best teams in the country; may not start;
4) Miller will not have played in almost one year;
5) Last year, so this is his money year, the year in which he will establish his NFL value;
6) Not winning the starting job at OSU will severely impact his future earnings (#2, #3 above);
7) Rumored schools have good options at QB, they recruit well and have been grooming kids to take over for Winston, Mariota; those kids will get Spring reps, know the system.....he might not start there, especially since arriving late;
8) Not true for UH and LSU; neither of LSU's "next" QBs have panned out;
9) Name the great LSU QBs produced.....you can't, it is the best football program to perennially suck at QB - is there a reason for this? Clearly Miles does not coach up QBs;
10) UH - familiar coach, known for QB prowess, most likely place to be assured of starting given his late arrival in terms of ability to play/practice;
11) Miller mitigates his risk of not starting and blowing his money year by coming to UH as we have greater need (yes, GW...rah, rah); yes, conf competition sucks but that might keep him from looking bad as he rebuilds strength and gets used to team in the early part of the season;
12) not playing in his money year could be devastating ...... UH is the best option for him given his situation.
