We all know what KB was able to do with the FAU offense this past year. The question is can he do it again but this time for UH? We know some of the drawbacks. The two most productive WRs have graduated. Plus, there are some big holes to fill in the other WR spots. Our WR two deep is in a word, depleted.
Having said that he was able to turn around an FAU offense that scored only 26.4 points a game in 2016. When the dust settled on the 2017 season his offense revved up their engine scoring 40.6 points a game. If he can repeat anything close to that at UH we are going to approach UCF's 2017 season. I am not guaranteeing an undefeated season but we will certainly have a shot.
But I look for more offensive help coming from our new OL coach as well. Just looking at what he has been able to accomplish in the past I can see us running the ball much better with the wider OL gaps. Duke has done better in space than just hitting the line on those dive plays. Car should do well also.
We just have to find those WRs from the younger guys and we should be fine. We will get a sneak-peek in the spring game.
Our defense on paper looks to be conference championship worthy.
So if all plays out as I see it, even with a couple of bumps in the road, 10-2 and playing for the conference championship should not be a stretch. Thoughts?
