So say Cleveland Plain Dealer sports columnists Bud Shaw and Doug Lesmerises. They are looking at Case, or whatever veteran QB they sign, to be a one or two year bridge for the rookie they draft this year. My guess is they select Sam Darnold.
As a Browns fan, this sounds great to me. The Browns will have a very talented-but-young roster next year and should be at the beginning of an upward arc. However, I doubt this will be CK's best option. I presume staying with the Vikings or going to the Giants with Pat Shurmur will probably be his preferred options.
Regardless, it's nice to another possible suitor emerge as it can only help ensure he gets a big payday.
