At 5:30 the Chronicle updated their story to say we now have an agreement - albeit a verbal one ; much stronger than their 12:40 story which said we were hiring Herman altough we did not have an agreement. That was hard to understand .
I think this is a good hire for us . This guy is going to do what CTL did not which is get the offense back up to the level we have grown to expect.
Unlike others , I say if all he does is get us back to credible play and bring the fans back and then leave for a bigger payday I will be greatful. I am ok with that. However, I actually believe with better play calling we could perform well in the Big 12 or AAC . Like the stadium , this is a statement on our part. We are now serious about having a credible program - who knows , enough wins and a full stadium and if we will agree to play Texas in Reliant versus TEDCU for the first 5 years we might be able to upgrade conferences sooner than later .
