USAToday has released the 2015-16 numbers. So this was Herman's first year.

I look at ticket sales + donations to get a handle on "fan support." Here's how we did against our peers:

Memphis = $18.28M
Boise St = $18.16M
UConn = $16.53M
San Diego St = $16.24M
New Mexico = $16.08M
East Car = $16.02M
Wichita St = $15.49M
UNLV = $14.76M
Fresno St = 14.53M
Houston = $13.01M
Cincy = $12.44M
Army $10.9M
UCF = $10.85M
Nevada = $10.63M
Hawaii = $10.41M
Wyoming = $8.44M
Colo St = $7.47M
USF = $5.98M
Utah St = $5.37M
San Jose St = $3.84M

Navy, Air Force, BYU, Temple and the American private schools don't report. I would imagine SMU, Navy and Air Force are near our level, while Tulane, Tulsa and Temple are below us and BYU is above us.

We did great in contributions at $8.14M. The leader was Wichita St at $10.65M. Great addition there, by the way. A much better supported program than VCU ($7.06M fan support).

Where we have some ground to make up is ticket sales at $4.87M. Basketball is the glaring weakness there, and should get a boost with the new arena.
