Yes, I know that on any given game day yada, yada, yada. Back a few months or so ago I said several of our games were gimmies. Rice is one of those games. With the early lines out that theory seems to be confirmed. UH is a 21 point favorite over Rice. Three TDs is blowout territory. That is also gimmie territory. Please do not go back in history and tell me about all those Rice teams who played a good game against us or even beat us when we were supposed to win and did not. That was then. This is now. Those games have absolutely nothing to do with what happens on Sept 1. UH is going to win and win big. Now, I know that some of you are glass half empty folks. Telling you not to be concerned about this game is a fool's errand at best. It is like telling my wife not to clean something she already has taken care of. She will anyway, especially if company is coming over. So go ahead and warn us about the perils of taking this game for granted (I don't). But when the smoke clears on Sept 1, UH will be 1-0 with a big time margin of victory.
