Culture eats Strategy for breakfast

So , one of the buzz phrases going around the business world these days is this post thread title . I believe firmly both are important but I think Culture tips the scales and makes the difference:

As I look around CFB I see this play out as well. IMO it is why CTH did well here and ironically is struggling for now at UT . When he came here he introduced the Swag and we have something to proove factor . UT has a deeper culture and traditions imbedded in the program ; lots of we get the best talent .... and he is having a hard time bending that culture into what he wants:

Even the Pirate has a unique culture; so does Navy ( highly disciplined overachievers ).... This post already is too long but winning programs have strong positive cultures . Sometimes this may be called Team Identity.

I think this is the biggest failure right now for CMA ; what is our compelling culture?

Not going to let him off the hook about the strategy; but if we had an inspiring culture the strategy might be being executed better .
