I have so many different thoughts about this I just don't know where to begin. So much wrong.
The first thoughts I had, and I don't know why, is the number of discussion/debates we have had on this board in regards to transfers we have accepted that have had minor discressions (drug possessions, accusations of assault, etc.) and why it is wrong or right to overlook some things and give second chances. What if those minor transgressions are only the small misdemeanors that they got busted for, but are only the tips of an iceberg of felonious criminal activity. We had a commit in the past year that got busted for massive quantities of drugs with the intention to distribute. It's not out of the realm of possibilities that a similar story like the one linked above could have happened on our campus from a drug deal gone bad in our athletic dorms had our recruit not been caught prior to signing, and he made it to campus.
Just crazy how this all unfolded.
