I love coming to Cougar games but I feel since we've moved to the new stadium our experience has become a little less like college and more like an NFL game.
My biggest gripe is at opening kickoff when the band and cheerleaders are trying to hype the crowd up we're blasting music over the PA system.
For example, yesterday right before kickoff when one side of the stadium chats HOUSTON and the other chants COUGARS, the PA was blasting some lame techno pop completely drowning out the crowd. Also right before we kickoff to start the game or after a score, the PA blasts some lame music drowning out the band playing our traditional oncoming train score. It's like the Band and PA are competing against one another.
Can someone get a message to the athletic department to let them know in their efforts to show off their new sound system at every opportunity they are actually ruining the collegiate game day experience in my opinion.
