Got to hope that last night was rock bottom.

We truly put together a complete game at Reckling. Shut out, with only 2 hits. Gave up 11 runs, 9 earned, 2 Es, but that was, in part, due to some very generous scoring that gave Rice a few hits that were really close to Es.

Unless this gets turned around, we'll remember this as the team where the upperclassmen way under-performed. This should have been their year and their team.

And I think the staff has just about given them all the rope they are going to get.

Survance is hitting 33 points lower than last year, Montemayor 74 points lower, Fulmer 65 points.

Add to that losing Hollis' .308 last year and Pyeatt's .297 and that's a lot of offensive decline from a year ago.

Vidales is 36 points higher, but probably not over the last three weeks. And we haven't gotten anything like we hoped for from Rice.

Likewise, Wong was better at the plate, but has tailed off in the last few weeks.

Campbell is the MIP and Iriart is even better than Grayson, but that's it for bright spots offensively.

And the pitching staff has been completely reworked.

We expected a weekend rotation of Lantrip, Lemoine, and Garza, but only Lantrip is still standing. There's no timetable for Lemoine's return. Garza and Robinson have been ineffective and Maxwell is out for the the season.

Very disappointing.
