The ENTIRE game the announcers wouldnt stop talking about how OSU doing what they did with 3 different QB's was unprecedented. They constantly talked about how shocking it was that Cardale Jones could plays so amazingly with so few snaps. Tom Herman got mentioned once the entire game.... They showed him during a random series and said "There's OSU OC Tom Herman; he'll be Houston's new head coach (and then they immediately switched the camera off him and didn't elaborate on anything.)
After the Semi-final, I told myself I would wait until the championship game was over to get pissed, so now I feel justified in my anger. First, they didn't mention him in the sugar bowl except one random time and now they do it again in the Championship game. Record breaking TV audience ready to hear about this Guru OC/QB coach who is going to do big things at Houston, and yet they never even mentioned him in the same breath as Cardale Jones, Braxton Miller, or JT Barret . Pat Narduzzi damn near had his own special during the Michigan State and Pittsburg games.
And I dont buy that him coaching in the National championship alone was enough. We've had a previous coach on our staff with a national Championship ring (Hargreaves won a national championship at Miami), but that didnt equate to a huge difference recruiting linebackers. Hell, Larry Coker won a national Championship at Miami but he aint bringing 4/5 star talent to UTSA. One of the main benefits to having him coach in this game was the TV exposure for him and UH. That exposure was nonexistent. Beyond pissed.
