Our boys are in Memphis today to take on the Tigers at the FedEx Forum! Wish them luck! Game is on ESPN U at 1 PM if you're at home and want to watch. 950 AM to listen at work, if your job allows it. I hope our boys will compete.
I would also like to take this opportunity to publicly celebrate my one year anniversary of proposing to my now wife. It was exactly one year ago when we faced off against Connecticut, and our boys pulled off a great upset against the eventual national champion.
With great faith in the Coogs, I proposed with 16 minutes left in the first half. I maintain in my mind that my marriage is destined to be because it was just enough magic to propel the Coogs to pull off the win. My friend Hamza kept telling me it was a bad idea because my engagement would forever be stained with a blow out loss to the Huskies, but he was ever so wrong. This will forever be my favorite Cougar athletics event, even if we win a national championship some day.
So I don't care about the odds, go Coogs! Take down Memphis! Happy New Year!
