The USA Today site says for FY 2013 we received:

$18.3M in school subsidy
$7.8M in student fees

(Of course, nearly half of those student fees are for stadium/capex, and not operating budgets/deficits.)

The BOR Audit Committee meets next week, and here are the FY2014 results:

$14.0M in school subsidy
$7.7M in student fees

See page "24 of 26," otherwise marked as page 22.

So the direct subsidy is down $4.3M to its lowest level since FY 2010 (according to USA Today).

Part of the reason last year's subsidy was so high, and this year's subsidy was reduced, is the $3.3M exit fee we paid to CUSA in FY2013. In addition, we increased revenues and decreased costs to the tune of $1M.

FY 2014 ended in August of 2014, meaning it included rental payments to play football off campus. Maybe for FY 2015 with the new stadium, we can get that direct subsidy down below $12.6M. If so, it would be the lowest subsidy since 2007 according to USAToday.

I understand that Renu's ultimate goal is to get the direct subsidy down to the level of student fees. Getting the alumni donations up to the level of student fees would help her do that.
