Having lunch at Lorenzo's on Washington Ave. this afternoon wearing my colors as always. This big guy comes over and introduces himself and son to Patty and me. Joey Banes...of course I remember the name if not the face. He looks like he could still take the field. Even better was meeting his son, Max. He tells me he is now up to 320 and I could not find an ounce of fat on him. Good looking young man. Says he will enjoy working with Coach Clements and Coach Briles. Joey and I got to talking about his days blocking for "Spoon" and some of the schemes we ran for the R & S.
