It's easy to guess that Lantrip will get the ball, but what will the rest of the lineup look like?
Of the guys that started the last game of the season, we've lost C, 1B, RF, CF. And we've apparently moved our SS to C, although I'll be interested to see if that was just was just a fall experiment. And I have no idea where Julks will play, other than he will.
The only lock is Josh Vidales to start at 2B for his 8th straight year.
That said, I look for Zac Taylor to start in CF and Clay Casey to start in RF. Pyeatt won't start in LF, but will end up there because he just hits.
My guess is that we'll try and let Julks win the 3B job, but that will depend on his defense.
SS and C are a complete mystery to me as is 1B/DH.
Is Joe Davis well?
Bubba Maxwell will get the first shot at closing.
The newcomers to watch are Casey, Davis and Tauzin . . . and two yet to be identified JC pitchers who will turn out to be really good.
In other words, we'll see about a dozen different lineups the first six weeks of the season.
