Dec 2016 = Award design contract
Dec 2017 = Complete design phase
Jan 2018 = Break ground
June 2019 = Substantial completion
Sept 2019 = Final completion
The new Housing complex will comprise 1000 beds with an alternate of 200 additional beds and will be designed for sophomores, juniors and seniors.
The majority of the units will be four private bedrooms within suites which also include a compartmentalized bathroom and a small common living area. Five townhouse-type units for international student and Engaged Learning Groups featuring communal kitchens and 8 bed clusters and will also be incorporated into the program.
The project will also have living/learning space/active learning areas that will serve the campus-wide student body. A retail shell space may also be included. Anticipated total gross square footage is 336,127, exclusive of potential retail shell space.
