Each year, as our family comes together for Thanksgiving, we typically host 10-16 people.
While the women of the family spend Thanksgiving Eve preparing the various foods for the feast the next day, I prepare a Thanksgiving Eve Bar-B-Q for the Thanksgiving Eve meal.

I most always smoke a brisket, and switch between ribs, chicken, or sausage for our other meat.
I usually go with a simple dalmatian rub with some garlic added, but today I am trying a Plowboy's Rub, and dusting that over the entire brisket with a massage to rub the seasonings into the fat cap that I scored with a boning knife to help the rub get down into there as it cooks.

This Thanksgiving Eve will be the first time I use my Houston Cougar Vault made by Pitmaker for this event.
I have been cooking on it for other cookouts before now, and I love it.

Below are some images from yesterday afternoon as I prepared the smoker, and the 13 lb. brisket. I will follow up with additional pics as the smoking continues, and I get closer to the final product.

I thought this would be just something else to talk about, and take our minds off the other topics on this board.

Please feel free to add your favorite menu items, if any, that you or your family will be preparing today, or for Thanksgiving.

Add Pictures if you can.
