Some might recall the big 6' 5" 290 juco DL we signed during the HELLton years. He was a very good player.
He passed away at age 28 and was survived by his fiancé and son.

As fate would have it shortly after his passing that fiancé and son enrolled in my school. The young son spent his pre school and elementary school days at our facility. That son is now a senior OLB/DE prospect and starts for Cy Ridge High School off eldridge/west just off US 290.His name is Malik Patterson Owens.

Anyway he came yesterday to pick up his brother who now attends our facility ( got his first car and now helps out Mom ) and proudly stated yesterday that he was invited by Houston to attend the spring game as a group of prospects they have invited. This is a very good young man and I wish him the best.
