UH has an on-campus food pantry for College of Education students called PEEPS. They need some help stocking the pantry, so our tailgate group, Team SWANK, has decided to organize a food and supply drive for them this season.
This is a real issue of which not many folks are aware. A growing number of students are spending all available money on tuition, books, supplies, and lodging, and nutrition ends up falling down to the bottom of the list. PEEPS representatives have told us a couple stories that would simply break your heart.
