I am upset with Duarte's coaching hire article that seemed to spend 70+% on the negative Baylor scandal and KB's alleged "role" in the affair. IMO, it struck me as a typical Chronicle hit piece akin to the Danny Robbins articles of old. I didn't expect a complete homer job....but I did expect a much more balanced article from him. Of course the scandal should be mentioned as it is a salient point. He went overboard and focused on the negative. He seems to write about all the negative, yet doesn't mention some notable positives, if in fact, he was doing his job as a journalist. He didn't mention all of KB's accomplishments (eg. two time B12 recruiter of the year, 2015 Broyles award finalist, etc). It just rehashed all the Baylor crap. Again, I'm not saying it shouldn't have been in the article....it just appeared to be the focus.
I would think that Dr Khator, Pez, Tillman are quite pissed at Duarte's article too. They gave Duarte this scoop. My hope is that next time they go to Berman and stiff JD.
Here is a much better article that presents both sides of the story.
