The position that may stand out most to me is LB. We had one, Jenkins, who was also listed as a DT elsewhere but actually played some slot receiver at Huntsville. Then we took a good one, quick guy and big hitter who comes in at 6-1, 210, from Tulsa via Galveston in Jarrod Milburn. I thought that was it. Well, turns out Camden Ross, a two-time all-district safety in a class 6-A league, Is like 240 and listed as a LB. Egbule of North Shore, whose weight was 200 and position undetermined, is a 6-3, 215 LB. And Godfrey, who had been cast as a DE, is also a LB at about 235. The 215 guys should be 225-30 in a year or two, and the 235-240 guys should stay about the same, maybe even get a little bigger. Jenkins, Ross, Milburn, and Egbule can move. I assume Godfrey can as well. Anyway, chances are we won't be starting 210 LBs and listening to ESPN announcers going on about how small our defense is.

I saw that one site had the AAC rated like so:

1 Cincy
2 USF
3 SMU
4 UCF
5 UH
6 Memphis
7 Navy
8 ECU
9 Temple
10 Tulane
11 Tulsa
12 UConn

But that's based on a system that awards points for each recruit, and SMU and Navy move up because they sign more players--Navy, 48! If you go by by average ranking per prospect, it looks like this:

1 USF
2 Cincy
3 UCF
4 UH
5 ECU
6 SMU

Given the really late start and inevitable defections, essentially managing a first-division finish, based on which site you're using (shows how inexact this thing is; there's just not that much difference in these classes) has to be considered pretty good work by the staff. Gray, Jones, and Eloph were rated higher than any Levine commit with the possible exception of Hicks.

These players made a Texas Top 100 or 110 or likely would have but were from LA:

Gray
Jones
Eloph
Mark
Thompson

I don't think Robert Hunt has signed with anyone. Sellers said we were waiting on him, and apparently we still have one to give. Maybe we're still waiting? Dunno.
