Riding in the car the other day, my teenage son was asking me about re-alignment and I told him that it probably wouldn't happen until the TV contracts expired. He then ask my why the AAC doesn't invite Texas and Oklahoma. I told him it would never happen. Then he went into sell mode. His point was if you take UT and OU out of the Big 12, The AAC is a better conference and has more earning potential with bigger cities and more national exposure. Excluding Houston & Dallas, there is Philly, Tampa, Orlando, Memphis, New Orleans, Cincy which is a much larger footprint to work from than Kansas and Iowa. I told him it would never happen, but the more I thought about it didn't seem like such an outrageous premise. Is there any argument or sales pitch Aresco could dream up to make something like this happen or aside from tradition or OSU, What could stop Aresco from raiding the Big 12?
