Almost every Cougar fan expects at least 9 wins this year. That may be difficult, based on a review of some leading college power ratings.
I averaged the ratings of Pigskin Index, Football Power Index, Dokter Entropy and Statfox. I then factored in 3 points for home field.
Underdogs
@ Memphis by 9.3
@ Tech by 8.3
@ Navy by 2.6
Arizona by 2.1
Slight favorites
USF by 1.3
@ SMU by 5.4
Temple by 6.5
The Rest
@ Rice by 24 (the current line is exactly 24)
@ ECU by 15.8
Tulsa by 11.6
Tulane by 11.4
TSU NR
In other words, objective third parties (and half the betting public if these ratings are predictive of the actual line) expect us to start the season 1-2.
