There is no question in my opinion that the AAC is going to be moving up in the bowl pecking order. Yesterday marked the first day of conference "free agency" in the bowl business. All the old bowl contracts will end and new ones will begin. So which conferences will be pulling out. The B1G could be leaving one of its bowls for the new one in Chicago. Also, the Heart of Dallas Bowl only pays 1.75 million. That is another bowl the B1G might say adios to. Which conferences will be moving up? I think we retain some of our old alliances. But with our regular season ratings and our higher profile bowl attendance there is no question the AAC will be in line for a bowl promotion or two in the next bowl contracts. Some say the Liberty Bowl for sure. We could know something as early as the end of the month or so.
