So has Wisconsin turned into a stepping stone job now?
Is changing coaches really that big of a negative anymore? Outside of a handful of jobs, pretty much everywhere could be considered a "stepping stone" whether it to a bigger program or to the NFL.
And while there is obviously some anxiety that goes with change, I gotta admit it is kind of fun to go thru. It is great water cooler talk. Considering how little press we get on a normal basis, it is one way to get people talking about the football program.
If you can provide an environment that is conducive for winning your job should regularly draw a bunch of good candidates.
Our current predictement is quite frankly pretty good in terms of attracting quality coaches. The location is probably #1, and while our conference is, well, not great, it provides a spot given our competition that a coach can come in and win right away.....assuming you hire competent coaches.
