In addition to chemistry and culture and what the role is ( ie how much autonomy in schemes , staff hires , play calling ) the math also matters in this coaches hiring process. A common question in some of the threads has been how could we hire this guy ( Orlando ) so fast ? Why have we not announced OC etc ?
CTH has a budget he has to stick to ; I am sure he has been recruiting coaches based on that .He probably had a list of certain hires if Gibbs staid and others if he did not. Gibbs leaving freed up money for him to spend on other coaches .
I would expect the rest of the staff gets named soon ; bc now they can sign everyone on CTH's list of who gets hired if Gibbs leaves .
