I remember reading here in the Den that one of the things that was a significant setback in our collective UH past was the university's recovery from Hurricane Alicia. I actually think it was Account or TC that made the comment, but don't recall precisely.
Given the events of this week, plus the focus on the lack of Tier I universities in Texas (compared to Cali in particular), I am wondering how the State will address our financial losses post Harvey. I am hopeful we do not suffer this loss internally, but get meaningful help from the State.
