Catching up on a few Recruiting Nuggets.
You may remember the report of Metuchen (NJ) tight end Devin Miller who was recently on hand for a Houston practice. At the time of his visit he hadn't received a Houston offer just holding offers from Rutgers and Wisconsin, not bad company typically for a tight end prospect. There was a lot of mutual interest during his visit and the Cougars have recently offered Miller, who talked about the offer with our New Jersey varsity site here.
Miller is a 6-foot-3, 227-pound tight end that was discovered at a tight end camp by one of the Houston coaches. He footed the bill for his unofficial visit recently which really says something of his interest in Houston.
Here's Miller's highlights from his junior season.
A couple of new offers to report for the class of 2018.
I was on hand at Houston's practice on Thursday afternoon and there were a few noteworthy recruits. It appeared as if the entire Reagan high school team was on hand, but the two most notable names were Jalen Green, Kyle Kinyo and Grant Griffin.
I'm working on gathering a little more info on Griffin, but none of the three held an offer from Houston entering today, however Green was offered in person by Coach Washington today.
Green is a 2018 kid that we have listed as an athlete, need to get a little bit more info on him as to where he projects and where Houston likes him but he'll likely project better at defensive back based on what I've seen thus far.
Here's a look at his highlights from his sophomore season.
Another 2018 offer that went out today was Southmoore (OK) quarterback Casey Thompson who we have listed at 6-foot-1, 176-pounds. Thompson also holds offers from Arkansas State, Illinois, Louisville, Miami, Oklahoma State, Oregon State and SMU.
Here's a look at Thompson's Highlights from his sophomore season.
