Based on what I was hearing last night from a few different sources, Houston was zeroing in on Lane Kiffin as their next coach and were in negotiations. Some have said that Kiffin isn't agreeing with Houston's buyout terms, but one source I spoke with last night indicated to me that all of the candidates were told about the large buyout before hand and that they don't believe a decision has been made yet. Could be Kiffin's camp leaking info to try and get leverage.
Tuesday very well could be the day this all gets situated. Based on what I've heard Kiffin is the top target as of this point though I am hearing some conflicting information from a few different contacts on whether or not he was actually offered the job or not (again just passing on what I'm hearing).
Also hearing that Miles is getting a serious look as well and could be be the next in line if Kiffin falls through.Needless to say, today should be an interesting day in the UH circles.
