There are more and more of these articles showing the widening gap between the Pac 12 and other P5 conferences. Washington State did a budget and it shows the Pac 12 only generating 38 million by 2023. All other P5 conferences are expected to exceed that amount. In fact the B1G already dishes out 51 million.

This article says that the Washington State leadership does not blame Larry Scott, but other articles say that some schools are more upset with him than Schultz at Wazzu.

So the question is could UH produce enough in carriage fees/streaming revenues to pay its way and then some for a Pac 12 membership invite? We offer a central time zone, a huge tv market, verified tv ratings that should only go up with a P5 schedule, and access to Texas recruiting.

In addition, the Pac 12 might have problems losing the two Arizona schools if the Big 12 continues growing its own tv revenue. It just might be time for the Pac to come calling on UH sooner rather than later. Scott needs to find an answer to his tv revenue problems or risk losing schools to the conferences that can pay more. The Pac is already losing coaches to the conferences who can pay more. Could these two Arizona schools be next? See the two articles below.
