With one exception, at first blush, there's nothing about UCONN that would make you think the Huskies are the #16 RPI team in the land.

Their offensive and pitching stats are very average. (Although almost everyone looks like the '27 Yankees compared to us at the plate.)

Their SOS is 111th.

They haven't played a single top 25 RPI team, much less beaten one, although they are a very respectable 9-6 vs. 26-50. (In comparison, we're 3-2 vs. 1-25 and 8-6 vs. 26-50.)

It's pretty obvious that their RPI is driven by a whopping 21-14 road record. Indeed, UCONN has 50% more road wins than anyone else in the country. (Okie St. and St. John's are next with 14.)

We can do this. Indeed, I'm very close to saying that we will do this. I'd like to know that Aaron is okay before going out on that limb. He hasn't looked like himself 2 of his last 3 outings. Fingers crossed.

In a weird way, this has been a very enjoyable season to follow. We're not great, but our kids really battle.

P.S. If we can win 2/3 this weekend, SE La is doing it's part and has it's RPI under 100 now.
