We all know that college football is headed for its next round of realignment. It is supposed to take place around 2024-2025 when the conference GORs expire.....or is it?

There is a current lawsuit that some say could lead to a competitive realignment model.....you know where each conference aligns itself with like-minded schools and bids for the services of the players. There are whispers that the NCAA is in jeopardy of losing this case. One Power 5 Commissioner has told CBS Sports about the Alston trial: "I think we are going to lose."

And Sports Illustrated Legal Analyst, Michael McCann, said, "They are going to get routed. They are going to lose. If I was them I would have (cut a deal with the plaintiffs) a long time ago."

The question is: What would the deal look like and how much would it cost and when would it take place, and will it lead to realignment sooner than we thought?
