If Texas wins, they're 3-1 and could very well finish 9-3, conceivably even 10-2. I think OU will beat them this year, but the Big 12 isn't that tough, and they get TCU and WVU at home. They should get by Kansas State on the road, and they'll have Kansas and Iowa State to beat up on. Baylor is in Waco, but I wouldn't rule out a win there either. OTOH, if they lose tomorrow, they very likely start out 2-3, the team probably starts thinking "here we go again," and the pressure on Charlie Tuna ratchets up. They lose one or two more and they're just a game or two over .500 and headed for the Armed Forces or Cactus Bowl. I don't know if that would be enough for Charlie Tuna to stick around the 40 Acres (Bohls says eight wins), and while my sense is Herman won't go to LSU, Texas may be one of the two or three jobs he can't turn down.
