Given the latest news about the financial chicanery surrounding the stadium and our generally abysmal financial resources, what can we realistically do? I don't have much confidence anymore that CTL is the guy (I know Bush isn't), but can we financially afford someone who would be an improvement? Mike Leach isn't going to take a 1.5 million pay cut to come coach at UH. What proven HC can we reasonably afford?
On a brighter note, I was very impressed by what I saw at the Hof today. I know it was North Alabama, but CKS has his kids going after every loose ball, contesting every shot, and generally looking like they have a clue. I bet 14-18 of North Alabama's points were on goal tends by our guys. And I'm perfectly OK with that because at least they are contesting shots. Didn't see too much of that in the Dickey era.
We may not have a great record this season, but CKS will have this team competitive in every game. I'm liking our future in basketball.
